Plot
Two psychotic, white-gloved-wearing young men take a mother, father, and son hostage in their vacation home and force them to play sadistic “games” with one another for their own amusement.

Funny Games is by no means a typical horror thrill-ride of blood and guts.  In fact, those looking for gore should go elsewhere.  The film depicts nearly all of the violence off camera, and is left purely to the viewers imagination resulting in an ever more disturbing film.

Note:  An identical shot-for-shot American remake was made in 2007.  However, the better acting of the original contributes to a much more effective experience.
